Through layered colour, texture, expressive mark-making and abstraction, Steph aims to capture the warmth, stillness and awe of being humbled by a beautiful landscape — not depicting a particular place, but the emotional imprint it leaves behind. Her practice is rooted in the exploration of colour, texture, nostalgia and warmth. Working primarily with acrylic and oil, Steph creates expressive, semi-abstract paintings that explore the emotional imprint of places, people and experiences.
