Since then, she has built a rich and diverse practice, learning from both traditional craft-based potters and contemporary makers, with strong Western and Japanese influences shaping her approach. She completed her Advanced Diploma in Ceramics at \u003cspan class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"whitespace-normal\"\u003eCentral NSW TAFE\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e while working in regional arts management, and further developed her skills through studio time at \u003cspan class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"whitespace-normal\"\u003eSturt Craft Centre\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003e Melissa has continued to grow through workshops, conferences, and advanced study, most recently completing an Advanced Ceramics Certificate at \u003cspan class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"\u003e\u003cspan class=\"whitespace-normal\"\u003eCentral TAFE\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e in 2019–2020.
