About the artwork
‘I walk a tightrope in the sky. From that perspective between earth and air, realism slowly untethers itself - shapes soften, edges dissolve, and what was once familiar tilts toward the abstract. Above, the whimsical waits: clouds that cocoon the dance of beloved bees, and below, life at ‘the edge’ where ocean meets land becomes intoxicating. As a playground, as a place to cleanse, and as a source of energy.
’Genevieve has an incredible eye for detail and painting the movement, light and colour in water. This body of work is so much fun, with little pops of colour and pink that contrast with the aqua waters in a fabulous way. A great selection of works if you’re looking for some scale.'
