About the artwork

Two pieces. Same essence. Opposite feeling.
Guided and The Light Within explore light and depth through the same palette of greens, metallics, creams and whites, one soft and luminous, the other deep and grounding.
Created to be felt as much as seen. There is a quiet, simple elegance to each, layered with a richness that reveals more the longer you sit with them.
They can live beautifully together, in balance, or stand alone with their own quiet strength.

About the artist

De-Anne Strange is a contemporary intuitive artist based in regional Western Australia, inspired by the vast presence of nature. Living on her family’s agricultural farm in the Wheatbelt, she creates layered abstract works influenced by native flora, open landscapes, and the rhythms of rural life. With over twenty five years of creative practice across Visual Arts, photography, and design, her work blends earthy elegance with expressive movement, to create pieces that feel both grounded and uplifting. De-Anne aims to create art that connects deeply with the viewer through meaning, memory, and aspiration.

‘The Light Within series, is a contemporary intuitive abstract collection created to be felt, not just seen. Inspired by movement, connection, and the beauty of the natural world, the works are designed to bring warmth, freedom, and uplifting energy into a space. Created using intuitive fluid spray techniques, layered textures, and luminous metallic details, each piece shifts with the changing light throughout the day. A symbolic golden thread flows throughout the collection, representing connection to ourselves, the land, and something greater beyond us. Created with intention and authenticity, the collection invites moments of calm, presence, and deeper connection within everyday life.’

'De has fabulously unique abstract style. Balancing light and dark with colour and metallics, her works are so magical.’
