Aperitivo is a study of everyday food rituals, where colour, texture and light transform simple ingredients into moments of connection. Drawing from Mediterranean culture, the series reflects on the quiet pleasure of gathering, sharing, and slowing down around the table.

About the artist:

Miriam is a Spanish-born artist based in Western Australia whose practice centres on painting and mixed media. Working intuitively, she explores colour, texture and gesture to capture everyday moments and sensory experiences. Influenced by her Mediterranean roots, her work reflects on themes of connection and rituals that shape daily life.
