About the artwork
'My work explores the Australian landscape from an aerial perspective, with a focus on Western Australia, where I draw inspiration from the region’s striking colour contrasts—from iron-red earth to turquoise coastlines—which form the foundation of my paintings.
Influenced by my background in graphic design, I reinterpret the land as simplified shapes, lines, and textures, encouraging a more abstract way of seeing. Texture is central to my process, and by incorporating sand into the surface, I reflect the terrain’s physical qualities while grounding each piece in the landscape itself. Through this approach, I aim to capture both the visual impact and deeper essence of the land—its beauty, history, and enduring presence.'
About the artist
Iantha is a West Australian emerging artist who is quickly gaining a collector base Australia wide. She is known for her unique three-dimensional texture, which lends itself to the aerial remote landscape scenes. Best enjoyed in person, where you can get lost in the scene and experience the texture and natural hues.
