'Fluid Boundaries XVI' by Alessandra Rossi
Mixed media and Jarrah Resin on canvas
77 x 120cm
About the artwork:
This body of works explores and dissolves the boundaries between body and landscape, a place in which the figures are no longer anchored by flesh alone, but they are shaped by wind water and time. They reflect a fluid state of being a shift in identities.
Each pieces becomes a liminal space where the self is both subject and environment.
About the artist:
Alessandra Rossi is a multimedia artist based in Fremantle, working across sculpture, installation, painting, and printmaking. The human figure is central to her work, reflecting her unique observations of people and their emotions within surrounding landscapes.
She explores the tension between the visible and invisible, creating ambiguous environments where presence feels virtual, and people exist in memory. Rossi has shown extensively in solo, and group shows in Australia and overseas, her work is held in private and public collections.
