'Me Time, Goode Beach, Albany’ by Emma Thomson
Acrylic on canvas
76 x 55.5cm
About the artwork:
Goode beach in the soft light of afternoon, where the boardwalk leads the eye toward calm turquoise water and distant islands. A moment suspended in stillness and a time to just be.
About the artist:
This body of work grew from Emma's deep connection to the Western Australian coastline, the places she has walked, breathed in, and returned to across the seasons. These scenes hold the quiet moments that shape her life, early mornings with her son catching on camera the soft pink blush of a new day and the hush that settles before first light. The shifting moods of the sea continue to anchor her, and she created these pieces to honour those fleeting, intimate experiences and to reflect the sense of grounding she finds in these coastal places.
