About the artist:

Vania is a Perth based, Australian artist with a background in design and scenic art. She is drawn to landscapes with distinct light and texture, the movement of all weather conditions and how that plays on our surroundings. Her works are emotional and psychological places, beautiful internal landscapes of her surrounds.

This recent series of artworks pay tribute to our striking weather conditions, from dawn to dusk and the strong horizons that define our rural areas.

She explores our relationship to a sense of place, revealing an interest in how it is perceived and remembered through tone and hue. Her aim is to create the overlooked, the neglected and sometimes forgotten beauty within our landscapes that surround us each day.
