About the artwork:
Natashia's collection of six works ties in with the theme of Spring and the beginning of different colours appearing in our gardens. All floral arrangements are bursting with a mix of small and large petals, soft and vibrant colours, and a gentle nod to ‘Everything Rosy’ with a touch of rosy red in two artworks. The paintings are joyful and fresh to reflect the beautiful season that is Spring.
About the artist:
Natashia Bevilacqua is a Perth-based artist who creates bold, colourful, abstract artworks inspired by floral arrangements.
Natashia’s interest has always been florals, but her approach to them is heavily influence by her graphic design background - pulling apart the details, simplifying the shapes and colours, and putting them back together. This results in a burst of colour and layers, while still conveying their movement and softness.
