Oxford Street Gallery presents 'Reminiscence', a group exhibition featuring works by West Australian artists; Lauren Kennedy, Yasmin Gane & Eleisha Pirouet.

Reminiscence brings together the work of three WA artists in an exploration of the way memory transforms our perception of place. Across the exhibition, moments are softened and distilled through faded colour, gentle marks, light and shadow, creating a sense of familiarity and nostalgia. Lauren’s landscapes and native flora of the North West are rendered in dusty, warm tones, evoking the warmth associated with place; Yasmin’s abstract works emerge through delicate washes, subtle colours and small, intimate details; while Eleisha’s oil paintings capture the fleeting qualities of light and shadow with a timeless, classical sensibility. Together, the works reflect the softening of places, sensations and moments that occurs with time.
