'Three Cows #4' by Ariel Katzir
Mixed Media on premium Japanese linen
Framed in natural timber
50 x 40cm
About the artwork
This is a part of the series 'Three Cows' which translates Ariel's signature figurative style into landscapes. Having always told stories through faces, bodies & emotion, in this series Ariel explores how the same language of line, movement and mark-making can exist within land, space and quiet rural moments.
The series is inspired by time spent painting from life in Bindoon, WA, observing the slower natural rhythms found in the landscape. 'It’s less about painting what something looks like… and more about painting what it feels like to be there.'
